In this upper level navigation course our instructors take you off the trails, as we teach you how to successfully navigate in the wilderness. You will learn how to establish your pace count, navigate terrain obstacles and how to navigate known distances. This course will require you to navigate moderate terrain and maybe deal with the occasional briar patch so dress accordingly.
This class will take place at Baldpate Mountain!!

Prerequisite: Completion of the Big Bear Gear Basic Navigation Class, Basic Map & Compass Skills, or Instructor approval.

Items provided: Map, compass, pace count device and group first aid kit
